Update details

Here are the changes for the next gameserver update. I might start to implement some or all of the changes before the reset to see, if everything works. (Click the read more - link to see the changes.)

Weapon/Armor changes

  • W/A now works linear, i.e. a 1000% weapon is 10 times as strong as a 100% weapon
  • W/A gives score in relation to the kingdom's W/A usuage modifier. This will allow races with lower usage mods to carry W/A. The score of unmanned W/A is fix and is also the minimum score for races without W/A usage.
  • Kingdoms now create W/A at the percentage of their W/A study. There are now special W/A study modifiers for every race.
  • W/A cost is now linear to quality.
  • WW and Vampire immunity has been adjusted.
  • Enchant has been weakened. It is 4 times weaker for Gnomisch deflectors compared to other equipment.
  • Possessed Weapons and Living Armor change can add up to 20% damage/absorption to your weapons/armor

  • Fighters: 75%

  • Clerics: 150%
  • Mages: 100%
  • Archers: 50%

  • labs per warmachine: 0.8
  • Gnomes can build Gnomish Deflectors. This is a special kind of war machines that adds absorption. They are also manned by laborers and they are produced at the same quality as war machines.
  • Purgatory has been removed. Gnomes can use Gaea's Wrath.
  • Gnomes can use Gaea's Love and Gaeas Presence as special spells.

Other changes

  • Death Barrier, Fear Barrier, Confusion Barrier, Spell Steal Barrier, Dispel Barrier and Phyisical Barrier do not lose additional mana per turn anymore.
  • My study calculator is added to the study screen
  • Midas Touch, Scrying and Dispel are now 100% spells (available from start).
  • Warp Lightning resistance has been reduced
  • Sirens Call resistance has been reduced (it is still the spell with the highest resistance, but clerics defend only half as good as before, mages as good as before = now double as good as clerics).
  • Punish mode now only allows 10 hits per kingdom against the punished kingdom.
  • Spell quests have been fixed.
  • Race rankings, Alliance rankings and Deity rankings page - menu fixed
  • Turn quick stats and Bloodlust food now have formatted numbers
  • Affe updated his tooltips.
  • Fixed a bug with building score. The min score rule now applies to all universes. (A kingdom without troops still gets a minimum score for the troops it should have.)
  • Dark elves can use their mana drain special on themselves.
  • Temporary version of a new mino advisor.
  • Mage/Magetower mana does no longer have a random effect.
  • Outpost and guardtower defense has been reduced to 140%.
  • Castle defense has been reduced to 200%.
  • The formula of how much land is taken in military conflicts has been changed.
  • The chance to find a Balrog has been reduced to 1/10 of what it was before.
